A better Leader

šŸ¤” What can you do to become a better leader?

1ļøāƒ£ šŸ‘©ā€šŸŽ¤ Hire People who arenā€™t like youšŸ‘©ā€šŸŽ¤: Bring in people who are strong in functions you are not and embrace diversity.

2ļøāƒ£ šŸ‘€ Ask for feedback, donā€™t just give itšŸ‘€: Increase your awareness of how you impact others by proactively asking.

3ļøāƒ£ ā˜ ļø Call out toxic behaviourā˜ ļø: Create a positive culture by demonstrating the behaviours and values you expect by quashing bad behaviour quickly.

4ļøāƒ£ šŸŒ³ Coach donā€™t micromanagešŸŒ³: Allow your teams the space to manage their functions, so they can learn and grow, and ultimately be more effective.

5ļøāƒ£ šŸŽ¬ Focus on outcomes, not face-timešŸŽ¬: Embrace flexible and hybrid working - it makes business sense and is a priority for many employees.

6ļøāƒ£ šŸš€ Invest in yourselfšŸš€: Leadership and management skills need to developed to build confidence and skills, particularly given that 80% of new managers have had no formal training.

ā™»ļø During June & July I will be investing in myself by joining a Sustainability Leadership boot camp to increase my skills and knowledge on the subject. This is an important topic for many businesses globally and Iā€™m keen to factor this into my bespoke leadership programmes.

šŸ’Æ If you need support tailoring a programme to develop your leaders or managers please get in touch.
