đ€ What carbon neutral practices are your business adopting?
â» Apart from being altruistic, adopting carbon neutral practices enhances your reputation as a business.Â
â» Customers increasingly expect companies to make sound ethical decisions and greener businesses are increasingly attracting more customers.
I've just spent the morning immersed in this topic.
đ Thank you Natalie Beecroft for getting together a group of like-minded local businesses to talk about the "Circular Economy" and "B-Corp certification".
đ Thank you Carbon Brief for organising a webinar to discuss "What are the key climate priorities for the new UK government". Simon Evans Molly Lempriere Camilla Born MBEÂ
Here are 3 points that stood out for me:
1ïžâŁ Our world is only 8.6% circular:Â
đ Reduce, Repair, Refurbish, Re-use, Share - whether that's laptops or office furniture we need to reduce consumption and recycle much more.
2ïžâŁ Over 2000 businesses are now B-Corp certified in the UK:
đ "Start before you feel you are ready" đ Anna Stanley. People, planet and profit can really be aligned.
3ïžâŁ Clean Power by 2030 in the UK:
đ The UK is a leader in clean energy. Driving transformation involves complex systems and trade-offs, but where there's a will there is a way.
