š And we are off. š¤ How do you support local young talent of the future flourish?
š² The Dragon's Apprentice Challenge officially launched recently run by Community Action Dacorum - what a great initiative - thank you Cindy Withey š.
š What a fantastic opportunity for sixth formers from six different schools to bring their business ideas to life and raise money for local charities.
š I'm really excited to be a business Dragon supporting a wonderfully energetic and enthusiastic group from The Hemel Hempstead School and The Dacorum Heritage Trust and Robin Herzberg to raise money for a new heritage centre over the coming months - the group already have lots of great ideas.
š§ The Trust has a treasure trove of historical artifacts with some amazing stories which they want to share with the public - there are over 130,000 items including #Roman artifacts from Cow Roast, #Tudor artifacts from Ashridge and valuable memorabilia from organisations like #Kodak and #Ovaltine.
š² Following the launch I joined my Dragonās apprentice Hemel Hempstead school team at the Dacorum Heritage Trust storage site to see the treasure trove of historical artefacts from the local area.
š· Over the coming months this group of sixth formers will be raising money for this charity which will contribute to creating a facility where these artefacts can be displayed to the public.
š The teams first event is a quiz night on 3rd Nov.
š If you are local and want to support - please come along.
š If you are local and have any prizes youād like to offer for the raffle please get in touch.
š Really looking forward to supporting this energised group raise as much as they can for this charity.
