š¤ Who are you?
This is a question I frequently pose to the leaders and teams I collaborate with. It serves as a powerful tool for enhancing personal awareness and empathy within teams. Continuously asking this question encourages profound self-reflection.
š¤ Who am I?
For those who have recently connected with me and may not be familiar with my background, here's a glimpse into who I am:
I'm fortunate to be deeply involved in my passions every day. Over the past few years, I've deliberately shifted my career trajectory, transitioning from 30 years in the Tech & Telco industry, where I held various commercial leadership roles, to become an independent leadership coach and consultant.
My work now involves:
šÆ Cultivating leadership skills that inspire and motivate teams.
šÆ Establishing routines that promote high performance and well-being.
šÆ Elevating awareness of thinking and behavioural preferences.
šÆ Identifying energy levels, stress responses, and strategies for thriving.
šÆ Enhancing engagement and productivity within teams.
šÆ Nurturing personal brands and communication skills to maximise impact.
šÆ Breaking down barriers and formulating strategies for progress.
š I'm genuinely passionate about delving into these topics and helping individuals and teams unlock their true potential.
In parallel, I find immense fulfilment in my other passions: coaching teenagers in sports at my local rugby club and mentoring students from nearby schools. These activities enable me to empower the young talents of tomorrow to:
šÆ Build confidence and self-belief.
šÆ Embrace physical activities for their well-being.
šÆ Develop skills that enhance their life and career choices.
šÆ Seek guidance when needed from mentors or role models.
Of course, it's not always smooth sailing.
There are days when I grapple with self-doubt, wondering:
š¬ What is the true impact of my programs?
š¬ Where will my next clients come from?
š¬ Am I good enough?
š¬ Will I earn enough?
š¬ Is this sustainable?
During such moments, I remind myself that these feelings are normal. It's all part of the journey.
š§ Anyone who runs their own business experiences similar challenges.
š§ The path can be tough, but I'm incredibly fortunate to do what I'm passionate about.
š§ I've put in relentless effort to get here, and I excel at what I do.
š§ Knowing that I positively impact so many people fuels my energy to keep going.
š§ Think about all those lives I can transform!
šÆ You've got this!
